What can bird beaks tell us about evolution?

Next we’re moving onto an Eating Like a Bird Lab!  Your lab template is attached below.  We will learn about Charles Darwin and his big idea.
By carefully observing a variety of finches on my islands in the Galapagos, Charles Darwin discovered a scientific concept.

Natural selection is the process where certain traits that have a greater fitness for their environment lead to a reproductive advantage. This process happens within a population over time because of genetic variation through adaptive radiation meaning that over time, groups of organisms from an original population will change as a result of adapting to their environment and will develop into different species.
