This Week in Division 10

Here’s a peek at what we have planned this week!

ELA: We’re becoming movie and novel pitch writers! Students are planning their own story settings (time, location, context, and atmosphere) and turning their ideas into a four-paragraph “pitch” for a studio.

Math: We’re practicing different multiplication strategies and checking that our answers make sense.

Science: We’re reviewing types of matter. Students are learning to sort matter into elements, compounds, and mixtures, and to tell the difference between physical and chemical changes.

Social Studies: We’re learning about worldview: what it is, and how it shapes the way people see the world.

Core Competency Focus: Gratitude
This month we’re focusing on gratitude. Our goal this week: I can tell someone specifically what they did that I appreciated.
